Video

Harness Your Student's Digital Smarts.

I watched a good video on a teacher teaching her students about technology.  This teacher was amazing and interacted with all the students as well as teach them new ideas.  She was also open to learning from her students which is what I hope to be able to do.  I believe this video is important for education majors because it allows them to see a teacher and how she interacts with her students.  I learned from this to come into the classroom with a open mind.  You might be a teacher but you do not know everything.  I guarantee that your students know things you do not know.  I believe our world is turning into a technology world.  Keeping up will help you in life.  I believe if we want our children to succeed in life we need to give them the information about what will help them and technology is defiently becoming big.

6 months

6 Months!
At six months I feel Chance all the time.  He is very active.  Do not worry though if you do not feel your child as much.  I have talked to a lot of pregnant ladies and mothers.  Some babies hardley move while others are very active.  It all depends on your baby.

The discharge by now should not be as heavy as the last few months.  And also you better be prepared for your doctor to do a gestational diabeties test on you in the next few weeks.  This is where you go in drink a nasty orange drink (kinda taste like a old orange soft drink).  You will have to wait a hour in the room and then they will take your blood.

Your baby can also feel and hear your voice.  Me and my husband will be sitting on the couch and Chance wont move at all. I get my husband to blow on my stomach and oooo he kicks all of a sudden. Its kinda like scaring your baby I guess and its very fun and exciting to feel him move. You can also feel him move outside your body. Every time he moves I take my husbands hand and place it where he is on my belly so he can feel him. Before my babies movements felt like I had been holding in a fart all day and it bubbled. Know it feels like something is moving from one side to the other. It is amazing and makes me smile everytime.

Your baby is around 11.8 inches.  About the size of a ear of corn.

4-5 Months

4-5 Months
Ok ladies between these months pretty much what you feel is what you feel.  The cramping continues.  If it is frequent and not far apart contact your doctor.  Yeah it could be contractions.  The good news is if you so have your baby around the 4th month it can survive outside the womb.  Your boobs do hurt and grow.  I went from a C to a DD.  Your nipples get bigger and very sore at times.  If your husband or boyfriend is a boob man he will love it.  You get newly found boobs and yeah I wear a push up as well and yeah they look good even in baggie t-shirts.

Many people told me I should leak around my 6th month but nope nothing like that has happened to me.  I have also found that I sleep with a pillow between my legs.  This feels good on my hips because yeah your hips do expand.  Another great feature of being pregnant.  I get up and pee about 4 times a night.  I work in retail and that keeps me moving and getting excersise.  If you do not excersise please do so. At least do the keegel excersises.  This is where you squeeze your crotch, kinda like your stopping your pee flow.  This will help ease the birth process and bring your vagina back to its normal size faster.  I have found intamacy is better at this time.  I do not cramp during it and do not get as fatigued as much.

Now you should be having your anatomy ultrasound.  Here you can see the sex.  You also get to see the all the bones in your babies body (yeah that picture is creepy looking im going to try to add a pic on here of that one.)  You also get to see the 4 chambers of the heart.  WOW technology has increased so much its amazing.  This time it is also harder to go to the bathroom.  Try to eat fiber and drink plenty of water.

At month 4 your baby is about 4.3-4.7 inches long (about size of avacado) at 5 months your baby is about  6-6.3 inches long (about size of banana).

3 Months

3 Months
Congradulations expectant mothers when you have reached the 3rd month (12 week) your chances of miscarrage drops to 25% so relax.  Depending on your doctor you should have had your first ultra sound or it is comming up.  This is awesome.  You get to see your baby and hear the heartbeat.  You cant really tell your baby is a baby.  Me and my husband joke cause on our first ultra sound he looked like a frog.

During this stage your stomach stretches more.  If it starts to itch get you some good lotion to rub on there.  I use Palmers and love the smell of it.  Itching means stretching which mean yes stretch marks.  So far I have only used lotion maybe five times and no stretch marks and Im a 25 weeks.  Some women during pregnancy get a swelling of the mucus membrain.  Yes pretty gross and yes I totally had that.  I still constantly blow my nose everynight and during the day.  Dont worry though my doctor told me it will go away, it is just swollen becuase of the extra blood flow.  I also had freqent ear aches.  We are talking about once a week, and since Im pregnant I just dealt with it by using a hot water bottle and covering my ears from any wind.  My cramping continues but even more.  These are round ligament pains and very common and very normal.  You have to think you have a baby growing inside you so things have to move and stretch and trust me you feel it.

Many many women also get a lot of discharge this time.  Expecially if you are sexually active while pregnant.  Your utarus is blocked by what they call a mucus plug.  Yep it is exactally as it sounds.  Yuck I know but this helps keep everything out so think of it this way what goes in comes right back out.  Many women at this time wear a pad around.  This discharge does not have a odor and any weird colors.  It sould be white maybe a little cream color but it is also stringie.  When you wipe after peeing you should have lotsw of discharge on the paper.  Yeah you might even have to wipe a couple of times.  Yeah pretty gross, but trust me being pregnant is amazing and yeah it does only get a little grosser as you go.  Dont worry, it is normal though.

Your baby is not 2.5-2.8 inches long.  This is about the size of a lime :) .

1-2 Months

1-2 Months
Ok ladies most women do not even know they are pregnant the 1st month and your baby is still a cell so im moving on to the 2nd month.  Here a lot of women feel sick and get morning sickness.  I was a lucky one who has yet to throw up.  But at your second month nausea usually starts.  You will also be getting up a lot to pee.  I also was uncomfortable sleeping.  I could not get comfortable except on my back which apparently your baby gets better blood flow if you sleep on your right side.

I also started cramping bad.  I would ask other women and they looked shocked and said I should call a doctor.  But dont worry ladies a lot of first mothers cramp.  Yes cramping and its normal.  The only time it is not normal is if you see bright red blood.  Brown discharge is also normal ladies.  If its brown its old blood not new blood.  New blood or "bad blood" is always red and you should defiently call your doctor.  I was always freaking out and asking my husband if he thought everything was ok.  Of course he said its fine and was always very helpfull but even though everybody told me its fine every time I went pee I would always check the toliet paper for blood.  Trust me ladies it does ease your mind to do that cause its a comfort  when you see nothing.

Your baby is just over 1/2 in long.  Thats about eqivalent to a raspberry.  :) You will be amazed how fast he/she will grow!
